College® Oil paints by Schmincke meet the needs of not only beginners but also demanding fine artists.

They contain high-quality artistic pigments and natural plant oils, offering good lightfastness (almost exclusively 4 and 5 stars). The color range includes 18 semi-opaque/opaque colors and 6 semi-transparent/transparent colors, including gold and silver.

College® Oil paints combine all the qualities expected from a student-grade oil paint. With excellent mixability and fast, even drying, they are very easy to apply. Their smooth, "buttery" consistency makes them ideal for work, with brushstrokes and palette knife marks remaining visible. By using the three primary colors, College® Yellow, College® Magenta, and College® Cyan, it is easy to learn color mixing, creating an endless range of other colors to complement your palette.

College® Oil paints can be mixed and combined with all other Schmincke oil paints (MUSSINI®, Norma® Professional, AKADEMIE® Oil color) and with all Schmincke mediums for oil painting.

Suitable painting surfaces for oil paints include: canvases, painting boards, oil paper, wood, and other clean, degreased surfaces.
